Final preparations are underway for the 2nd Street Strut.

The planning committee met with civic leaders and the police last night to work out final details.  There will be a substantial police presence ensuring a safe, fun and family-friendly event.

Police foot patrols will be stationed along the entire 2nd Street corridor.  Bike Patrols will also ride along the route.  Paramedics will be on-site.

2nd Street and other designated areas will be closed on Friday.  Cars must be removed.  Certain streets will remain open for foot traffic and police access.  See details.

Port-a-potties will be available along the parade route.  Food/vending trucks will be available at the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mt. Carmel reviewing areas.

Residents are encouraged to call 911 if they see any suspicious behavior or encounter any problems.
